Tinwork – Mirrors, Nativities & More

We love our tin collection, including handmade tin and tile mirrors, tin nichos, and all other forms of intricate tinwork. 

A very particular type of Mexican tin art is nicho. Nichos developed from the Roman Catholic retablo style and became common all over Mexico and other Latin American countries. Small, portable altars with a recessed display of patron saints, religious icons, and colorful ornamentation, they are common religious artifacts as well as being attractive pieces of art.
