Talavera—The tradition of Talavera-style pottery originated in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, in the 16th century. The coincidence of the Talavera style with the pre-hispanic Jaliscan ceramic-work resulted in these unique patterns and mastery of hand-thrown earthen-wear pottery. We carry the work of Caytemao Corona Gaspariano of Tlaxcala, from just outside the city of Puebla. His gorgeous hand-painted pieces are not only durable and lead free, but affordable as well.
Stoneware—We carry the works of El Palomar as well as vintage Ken Edwards pieces. Our stoneware is lead free and safe for both the microwave and dishwasher. We carry the traditional Tonala line as well as their Collection line.
